American Legion Riders chapters are well known for their charitable work, which has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for local children's hospitals, schools, veterans homes, severely wounded service members and scholarships. Since 2006, Riders nationwide have participated in The American Legion Legacy Run to annually raise money for the Legacy Scholarship Fund, established to provide scholarships to children of U.S. military personnel killed since Sept. 11, 2001.
The Buda American Legion Riders 213 is focused on community involvement, supporting veterans and veteran causes and giving back to those in need. This involves participating in events, raising money and working on projects. We also try to plan or participate in at least one sanctioned ride at our post or another post monthly. We also support each other. We are keen to promote motorcycle safety and work with other motorcycle groups in this regard.
The American Legion Riders is not a Motorcycle Club, and does not practice Motorcycle club rules or regulations. The American Legion Riders is family-oriented, just as is its parent organization: The American Legion!
