    • What are the requirements to be an American Legion Rider in Chapter 213?
    • Answer:
      • Must be an active member of the American Legion, Son's of the American Legion or American Legion Auxiliary (not just Post 213)
      • Own personally or via marriage, a motorcycle of at least 500cc
    • If I donate to the American Legion Riders TX213, what are the funds used for?
    • Answer:
      • As a program of the American Legion, we can only spend money in four areas. These are:
        • Support of other Veteran organizations (VFW, AmVets, DAV, Wounded-Warrior, etc).
        • Support 501(c3) organizations, such as scouts, police, fire, search & rescuse, hosptitals, homelessness, museums, etc.
        • Support our sponsoring organization, American Legion Post 213.
        • Less than 10% of the funds we raise, are used for our own operations. These are for office supplies, first-aid kits, printing, etc.
        • As a 501(c3), all donations to American Legion Riders TX213 are tax deductible.
    • I don't own a motorcycle, but I would like to participate, is there any way that I can?
    • Answer:
      • Yes. ALR 213 has a membership class called "Supporters". Support Members help with events and are integral to our operations.
      • Supporters must be an active member of the American Legion, Son's of the American Legion or American Legion Auxiliary (not just Post 213)
      • Many spouses of Riders are supporters, as well as other members who no longer ride for whatever reason.
    • Are you guys a "motorcycle club" or gang?
    • Answer:
      • No, the American Legion Riders is an association of family oriented veterans and supporters who perform patriotic services, support our communities and assist veterans. We are not a One Percenter group.
      • ALR 213 is very active in supporting our local communities.
    • What's it like at the Post 213 facilities?
    • Answer:
      • We share the building with the Buda VFW Post.
      • The building is non-smoking and does not have a bar or gambling machines. We are a family and community oriented organization.
      • American Legion Post 213 and the Riders Group meet at the Central Texas Veterans Center in Buda, Texas.
      • The American Legion and Riders have a private office for our files, equipment and computers.
      • We have high speed Internet and a wireless system in and around the facility.
      • There is a kitchen for food preparation and serving.
